Peace everybody,
Another blog from yous truly, updating you on some things. Well I think I finally have this Sgt Hogues video under wraps, and plan to upload it by the end of this week. Yeah I know you've heard me say that before, however I presented it to the librarian, and she loved it, but the sound was not up to par. I did the best that I could digitally, but I did not have an external mic, and that can cause problems, however I have tweaked it, and I hope you enjoy the results. But I have been tinkering with more that just that video, I am hard at work on more wearable art, and I presented another version of the Safe and Sound series, which generated 103 facebook likes over the weekend. I've also reopened my Etsy shop, although my aim is to make my website the primary source of my work, I realized I can let Etsy handle some of the eclectic stuff, and still work on my personal shopping cart. I want to thank everyone for continuing to venture into my little world, it's just begun....Take care all....

Peace all...
Hoping this reaches the CPN family in the best of spirits and health. I took a good look at my blog posts and noticed the last time I posted here was March 1st. My sincerest apologies, but a lot of things have been going on, most notably the event last month honoring Staff Sgt. Homer Hogues of the Tuskegee Airmen. It was a momentous occasion, and I am very thankful to God first and foremost, then the Hogues family for allowing me to exhibit my work at the event, then the Highland Hills Library for all of their support and putting together a fine event for such a great person. As promised, I was able to capture the event on tape, and spent hours trying to edit it. 'Twas quite a trial but again the patience factor kicked in, and seems to be a success. I will be posting the event on Tania-Maria's Youtube page hopefully by next week. It doesn't contain my presentation to Sgt. Hogues, since I was the only one filming the event, but I hope you enjoy the event regardless..I have other things in store as well, but I had to get this completed before moving on...More later...Take care...

...in the early 80's american bluesman Billy Jones was the lead guitarist for an outstanding group of touring musicians who called themselves 'The Incredible Rock City Band'. ...this song is taken from the only known video of one of their live shows. ...these guys are great! ...every band member is a star!
They performed on military installations all over the United States for the U.S. Dept. of MWR for more than ten years during the 80's and 90's. ...I'm sure that there are many veterans out there who remember seeing this band at NCO and Officer's clubs back in the day.

Dear Reader,
In 1988 on my way back from San Francisco I discovered an alpine town off of Interstate 5 on top of what is called the Grape Vine. A winding pass that snacks north into the San Joaquin Valley; at times a treacherous road because of ice and snow in the winter and extreme heat in the summer. Take the Frazier Park exit and head west past the Flying J, and the assortment of gas stations and fast food restaurants. There is a flashing red light, turn right and you are now in the town of Frazier Park, a city that was incorporated in 1925. The current population is 2,691; in the early morning commuters travel down Frazier Park Road either north to Bakersfield less than an hour or an hour and a half to two hours to Los Angeles.
Many of us who grew up in the 1970’s knowing Frazier Mountain as “Walton’s Mountain” in the TV show of the same name “The Walton’s”. This was a fact I learned researching for this blog. Frazier Park has not changed much since the 1920’s, the population is bigger, yet main street is the same, two lumber yards, a couple of thrift stores, Caveman Pizza 661.245.1474 (my favorite pizza place), two insurance companies, a bank, Sheriff sub-station, Kern County Fire Department, a market, gas station & mini-mart and other businesses. A short ten minute walk and one can cover downtown Frazier Park.
What makes FP, the perfect place for a shoot is because it could stand in for a southern town, in winter an alpine village, it is non-descriptive place which is added bonus, it is not an over used location. A park with a pond with resident ducks and geese, across the street is a new library. There is a new Holiday Inn Express (661.248.1600) ten minutes away in Lebec, a Flying J for fuel with a dump station and a mini-mart, with a Denny’s and a Motel 6.
When winter storms blow through the area, which happens sporadically, FP turns white, kids play in the snow and even the…
